Tony and Barbara are dedicated to quality produce, taste, texture, innovation and presentation. Both are resolute in using the best ingredients available and constantly pushing boundaries with new cooking techniques. Both have an expanse of creative talent. The new kitchen at Food Embassy is aptly equipped with all the toys to achieve this end. Expect intensity and diversity from these two, and occasional quirkiness.
The Food Embassy as the name is meant to imply is to be a grand habitat where food is an inspiration to the clientele, with a menu fashioned from local produce and a demonstration of passion in the execution of plates that quality produce demands. Herbs are grown in wine barrels and pots behind the Embassy.
The chefs interpret their food as Modern New Zealand and as a bistro, the Embassy supports the role between fine dining and cafe food currently on Waiheke Island. A middle ground, - informal with panache. The food at the Embassy will be a testament to the belief of the enjoyment of food, achieved through the dedication of the chefs who have a steely determination to be successful with an uncompromising attitude towards selection and purity of ingredients, with preparation of artistic flair cooked with seasonality in mind.
We can provide catering for corporate and private events, cocktail parties and weddings at some of Waiheke Islands illustrious and finest venues. The Embassy has its own coolroom trailer.
